The Ecstasy Of Nature The Nature Of Ecstasy AFTERNOON POETRY WORKSHOP

  • Riverside Staithe Road, Bungay, NR35 1EU United Kingdom (map)

Afternoon poetry workshop 2-4pm. At the Riverside Centre, Bungay.

Saturday 18th October 2025

Do you want to see the familiar with different eyes? Do you want to deepen your experience of nature, of architecture, of place? Do you want to connect with a view, a butterfly, a historical event? Do you want to express your experience verbally? If so, come and join us on 18th October.

Afternoon Poetry Workshop.  Lynne Nesbit, with 50 years of poetry writing behind her, will lead a workshop in the afternoon, exploring the impact of some of the places we will have experienced on the morning walk and guiding us in ways to create expressive writing about them. No previous experience of poetry is required.)

The workshop follows a walk in the morning. You can book either the walk or the workshop or both. Chris Reeve, formerly in charge of Bungay Museum and dedicated local historian, with many published books to his credit, will take us in the morning to some famous (and infamous) locations in the town that have made a deep impression on him. Please book the morning walk separately.

Being October, bring an umbrella; being a creative day, bring an open mind. Being hungry, if coming for both events, bring a packed lunch or taste Bungay’s delights. Both parts of the day can be purchased separately. £9 for each half day event.
