Walk 11.00-12.45. Meet at St Mary’s Church, Bungay.
Do you want to see the familiar with different eyes? Do you want to deepen your experience of nature, of architecture, of place? Do you want to connect with a view, a butterfly, a historical event? Do you want to express your experience verbally? If so, come and join us on 18th October.
Chris Reeve, formerly in charge of Bungay Museum and dedicated local historian, with many published books to his credit, will take us in the morning to some famous (and infamous) locations in the town that have made a deep impression on him.
(Optional poetry workshopin the afternoon - book separately. Lynne Nesbit, with 50 years of poetry writing behind her, will lead a workshop in the afternoon, exploring the impact of some of the places we will have experienced on the walk and guiding us in ways to create expressive writing about them. No previous experience of poetry is required.)
Being October, bring an umbrella; being a creative day, bring an open mind. Being hungry, if staying for the afternoon poetry workshop, bring a packed lunch or taste Bungay’s delights. Both parts of the day can be purchased separately. £9 for each half day event.
